Tinsmiths continues its programme of events and exhibitions with:

The Architecture of a Market Town

Walking Tour, 11am Wednesday, 9th July, 2008

Tinsmiths is in the uncommon position of occupying both one of the oldest, most traditional timber framed buildings and one of the town's most overtly modern. We have always been fascinated with the design of buildings and for the last two years have taken part in Architecture Week. This year, as there is no national event, we have organised a walking tour of Ledbury led by Duncan James, an expert in timber framing. The walk is part of Ledbury Poetry Festival and tickets can be book through the festival box office. Do reserve a place well in advance as numbers are limited to 24 adults.

Our next exhibition opens on

Buttons

As part of h.Art - Herefordshire's Art Week we have drawn together 15 Artists working across a wide variety of materials and invited them to create Buttons - singles and sets. Ceramic, Wooden, Glass, acrylic, Silver, enamelled, textile - all are the jewels of haberdashery.

To launch our exhibition, which runs until 1st November, we are planning a button-making session in the Courtyard. More news of this soon.

If you would like to receive an invitation to the opening please e-mail us with your name and address.
