Clare de la Torre - Exhibition Artwork

Clare de la Torre spent her early career in London before moving to Herefordshire in 1989 to run Collections Gallery in Ledbury. Thereafter followed a period as Tinsmiths PR and website extraordinaire. Working from her Stoke Lacy studio, Clare has focused on her making practice full-time since 2019.
Clare describes her work as ‘fairly grown up’, these are pieces which are designed to be worn every day in a quiet, comforting way. The focus of her design is not static, shifting and adapting depending on the nature of the precious or semi-precious stones which she loves to use, combining them with silver or gold. Clare loves to add texture to surfaces and often includes baskets or boxes as part of the piece.
