American Patchwork Quilt – QU01

Original, late 19th century patchwork quilt top from America.
Antique and one of a kind, this quilt top was in excellent condition when purchased by Tinsmiths but had never been made into a quilt. It has been hand pieced with repeated patchwork blocks in tones of russet, brick red, browns and calico.
It has been made into a quilt in 2024 using 100% organic cotton batting. The new backing and edge binding are in a hand block printed cotton. The edge binding has been handsewn on and the machine quilting is in an all over meander style. This process gives a fresh new quilt with all the subtlety of the antique fabrics by using an heirloom patchwork top.
Due to age of the patchwork top, there are some minor areas of wear consistent with the heritage and handmade nature of the item (please refer to photographs).

Delivery is £8.50 for UK orders and £4.75 for small or light items. We will advise you by email or telephone if there is a surcharge payable for instance to deliver to Scottish Highlands and Islands.
