An Introduction to Rag Rugs – Creative Recycling by Jenni Stuart-Anderson

Each project is accessible to anyone who is inspired to recycle old clothes and textiles into unique, decorative and useful projects. You will be able to use the techniques to design and make your own one-off items for your home or as hand-made gifts.

Historically, rugs were made by several people sitting round a horizontal frame with children cutting the pieces of rag which were prodded into the hessian backing to make a shaggy mat. There is a prodded project but you can also achieve the same effect without a frame by progging, which can be done on a table.

Delivery Information

Delivery is £8.50 for UK orders and £4.75 for small or light items. We will advise you by email or telephone if there is a surcharge payable for instance to deliver to Scottish Highlands and Islands.
