A note about enamel finish: As a finish vitreous enamel has many useful properties; it is smooth, hard, durable and scratch resistant. It also has long lasting colour fastness and is easy to clean. It prevents rust and has an authentic look and feel of vintage utility ware. Irregularities in coverage, like ripples, are common and are not considered a fault. Likewise, irregularities in coverage around the very edges of a piece are not considered a fault. Enamel pieces should not be cleaned with abrasive cleaning products.
