Marion Elliot is a designer and printmaker who works mainly in paper mediums. Marion uses printmaking techniques to create densely textured papers which she then uses in her detailed collage work.
Marion has a great love of folk and vernacular art, taking inspiration from motifs such as typography, tattoos, fairgrounds, typography, hand painted signs, shop fronts, religious icons and workers guilds banners.
Her career began in London working as a writer, stylist art director for clients such as F & W Media, Hachette, David & Charles, Hallmark, IPC and national magazines. Marion has produced 25 books on design related subjects including paper engineering and textiles and her work has been exhibited in the UK, USA and Japan.
Marion currently works as a freelance illustrator and teaches on the BA Illustration course at Hereford College of Arts.
